I’d give Granite Works six stars if it was an option. We updated the look of our kitchen by replacing dark granite countertops with a bright Cambria quartz–the cabinets and wall tile remained. We’re astonished the crew removed the old counters without any of the wall tile breaking! Once we settled on our choice, the ordering, measuring and installation took a bit less than two weeks. Schedules were kept, and everyone we dealt with was efficient, quite punctual, and left everything basically neat. However, later in the day after the install, we found a small but obvious flaw in the stone in one spot that we felt needed to be addressed. Marco, who came to check it out, and Bruno agreed. Bruno’s fix was to totally replace that section of counter. Thank you for doing more than we expected, and ensuring that we are satisfied and delighted customers.
Love, Love, Love this place!! First off, when I was searching for a company to do granite countertops for our kitchen, I reached out to several providers on Yelp. Granite Works was one of the first to respond, literally within a matter of hours. I am a busy person and didn’t have time to go to their store in Rockville so I was able to do just about everything (including digitally sign the contract) over the internet. They sent over a great guy to do the measurements, and he even brought two samples of granite that my wife and I were considering. They came back in a week and did all of the work in a couple of hours. And it looks GREAT! Quality work, and the best part is that their pricing was $100s less than two other contractors we’d considered. And unlike them, Granite Works didn’t require us to be out of the house or move all of our furniture. They were also extremely fast with returning emails, always a plus. We are buying a new house soon and will strongly consider using them again.”
Granite Works installed a granite kitchen countertop for us. Everything from the request for a bid, to the bid, to the installation was flawless. Had been putting off the project because of the potential for a hassle and disappointments. I feel silly now, because Granite Works was so professional, polite, and prompt. We needed a custom section of the backsplash to rise a couple inches higher under a window, and the piece fits perfectly, and looks great.
I would have liked to be able to write some sort of review for them because I heard they did good work. I was referred to them to have new counters installed in my kitchen. We went to their show room and my wife picked out a product she liked. They came and measured my kitchen counters, then nothing. A month later and we never heard anything from them. Text messages, e-mails, and phone calls have all gone unanswered. Never got a quote of any sort or any indication they were interested in doing the work. I’m going to assume my small kitchen with it’s small counter tops wasn’t enough work for them. We can’t all have 300 square feet of kitchen counters.
I have been an interior designer in the metropolitan area for over 22 years. Over the years I have used and recommended many stone fabricators to my clients but for the last four years I have been working almost exclusively with Bruno at Granite Works. Granite Works has without a doubt the most professional, knowledgeable and hardworking team I have ever worked with. Their customer service revels no other. Nothing is ever too much trouble or difficult for them to tackle. I highly recommend Granite Works!
I had to comment on this business. I called them and spoke with Gus who is one of the principals of this company. Nice guy. I wanted to have someone in their company come out and see if they could spruce up the granite, strip it, reseal and polish. I wanted him to tell me if it was possible to really improve the look of the granite overall. It would have been a decent job for them, since our kitchen is big. Gus got there when promised, and looked at the granite. He pointed out that some of the granite might not have come from the same slab. I had never noticed that; all I knew was the granite seemed to be a little lighter (duller) than other parts of the kitchen. He said he could do the job, but it really wouldn’t make that much difference in the look of the granite. He told me up front there was no charge to come and look, but I tried to give him a little money for his efforts. He refused, as he reminded me he said no charge in the beginning. I has to say–he was very nice and polite, and above all—honest! I would certainly look at this company to do any other granite work I would need in the future! Thanks, Gus!
I’m so happy with Granite Works Rockville. They were really helpful, fantastic customer service. The price is affordable. They’ve done an excellent work.
I am a general contractor and I have been using Granite Works for years. They are honest people in an extremely competitive business who try very hard to ensure you get the quality product you deserve. When issues arise (which do because let’s face it, the construction industry is full of surprises), they work diligently to ensure the end product meets your expectations. They have never thrown their hands in the air and given up. I would recommend them without hesitation!
Two words. Gus. Valente. Gus knows customer service and he serves the customer not just to the end of a project, but beyond.
When an issue arose during granite installation, Gus was there to guide and remedy the matter promptly. After installation, Gus took the time to answer additional questions and make recommendations efficiently and respectfully.
The finished product is just beautiful and I know I will enjoy my granite countertops for years to come. And I also know that if I reach out to Gus he will be there serving the customer with genuine care.
This company was FANTASTIC!!!! Bruno and his company were super quick and responsive to both email and phone requests. They came on time and on budget. A rarity in this day and age. I tried calling some other companies, and they wouldn’t even give me the time of day or never show up. I am super picky about who I have into my home. I don’t understand the one review giving them one star. They’ve been nothing but fantastic. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them to anybody.
